Going Lomo Flash Crazy
Key Words: Photography
Karlo Samson Alyas Palos | Karlo Samson, self-proclaimed culture rabbi of the Legaspi-Rada Makati area, recently brought over his multi-colored Lomo Colorsplash Flash. This gadget is supposed to attach to a Lomo Camera and bathe the subject in which ever light color you selected (through the twist of a dial) effectively creating tinted yet realistic photos without the use of lens filters. Now I don't need to say that we do not have a Lomo Camera. What we did try to do was to overexpose the photograph by keeping the shutterspeed open for quite a while and then snapping the flash before the shutter closes. The technique, apparently, works well in dark (almost lightless) places (which were nowhere to be found inside our well-lit office. |
Here are some of the shots that we took that day.
